About ICU
Located in Midtown Manhattan, Information Consultants Unit (ICU) is a full-service computer consulting firm specializing in financial and human resource software systems for business. Founded in 1994 by Raymond A. Schaub, an independent consultant with over 10 years of experience, the firm originally developed full-featured applications on DOS, Windows and Macintosh platforms, primarily for Fortune 1000 companies. The firm has since expanded to provide Accounting and Payroll packages as well as Human Resources solutions, carrying such "best of breed" products as HRIS-Pro, Navision, AbraSuite, and is in the process of becoming a Microsoft Certified Solution Provider for SQL 7.0 versions of all products.
Today, ICU provides sales, consulting, implementation, project management, training and technical support to businesses that require strong, localized resources and support. Additionally, ICU also provides outstanding custom applications.
About our customers
ICU tends to service firms with at least 100 employees and as many as 10,000 which have annual earnings of between $10 million and $100 million US dollars. Our average customer last year spent approximately $18,000 on services and, especially for first time customers, an equal amount on software from ICU. However, this skews to the low end of our target market.
Industries for which we've provided solutions include health care, legal, advertising, distribution and manufacturing. Most of our customers are based in New York City and the surrounding area, but our geographic territory is expanding all the time. Today, we service companies as far south as Atlantic City, New Jersey and as far north as Syracuse, New York.
